About Us Events Calendar Contact Us How to Identify a Venomous Snake Links

What started as a young boy witnessing his mother needlessly killing a harmless snake at their home in New Orleans, Louisiana, CRREC has evolved into a family-run organization with a passion for teaching and spreading the message of conservation for our local reptiles and amphibians. Based out of Gaston County, North Carolina, we enjoy traveling to different areas of the state and sharing our knowledge and passion with others. We also aim to participate in ongoing research to learn more about the status of the herps in our home state, as well as others in the Southeastern US.

We hope you will visit the site often, as it is likely to grow. Be sure to visit our Links page for information about other organizations in North Carolina that share our goals.
